The significance of the blood of Jesus Christ

'...Jesus suffered and died outside the city gates to make his people holy by means of his own blood.'
'In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.'

'And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God's condemnation.'

'He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.'

'My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.'

'And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is.'
